Choose how people sign in
Your Astrolabe always has a username and password form for the administrator account. You can add providers next to it: people then sign in with the account they already have at Google or Auth0.
You choose the providers once, as an administrator.
What the sign-in page shows
The sign-in page lists one button per active provider, for example Continue with Google. Under Or, the Username and Password form is always there.
Where you turn a provider on
In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration. Under PLATFORM, click Authentication. The Providers tab shows one card per provider, with a switch at the top right. The active providers come first, each with a Configure button.
The providers
| Provider | What you do |
|---|---|
| Astrolabe account | Sign in with your Astrolabe account |
| Add Google sign-in | |
| Auth0 | Add Auth0 sign-in |
| Okta | Add Okta |
| Atlassian | Add Atlassian |
| Azure | Azure Entra ID |
| GitHub | GitHub |
The steps are always the same
-
At the provider, create an application and copy its Client ID and Client Secret. You give the provider the address Astrolabe shows in the ? next to Client ID.
-
In Astrolabe, turn the provider on and enter what you copied.
-
Sign out, and check the sign-in page.
