Add Google sign-in
Once Google is on, the sign-in page shows a Continue with Google button.
You do it once, as an administrator.
Before you startβ
You need the Client ID and the Client Secret of a Google OAuth client: see Create the Google OAuth client.
π§ Turn Google onβ
-
In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.
-
Under PLATFORM, click Authentication.
-
On the Google card, turn on the switch at the top right. The window Configure Google opens.
-
Fill in the form:
Field What to enter Client ID The Client ID of the OAuth client Client Secret Its Client secret Both are marked (Required). The ? next to Client ID gives the address to declare at Google:
<Astrolabe address>/api/auth/google/handler/frame. -
Click Install. The screen says The configuration has changed; the server is restarting. Wait a few seconds.
The Google card is now among the active providers at the top of the list, its switch is on, and it has a Configure button.
β Checkβ
-
Top right, click your initial, then Logout.
-
The sign-in page shows Continue with Google, above Or and the Username and Password form.
Signing in through Google was not checked on a live instance. Astrolabe then looks in your catalog for the
user whose name is the part of the Google email address before the @.
π Change or remove Googleβ
-
On the Google card, click Configure.
-
To change the client, edit Client ID. To change the secret, click Replace next to Client Secret. Click Update Configuration.
-
To remove Google, click Uninstall.
β That's it!
