Add Okta

You give Astrolabe the Okta application you created. Okta then appears in Administration › Authentication as an active provider.

You do it once, as an administrator.

Before you start

You need the Client ID and the Client secret of an Okta application, and the address of your Okta: see Create the Okta application.

🔧 Turn Okta on

1. In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.

2. Under PLATFORM, click Authentication.

3. On the Okta card, turn on the switch at the top right. The window Configure Okta opens.

4. Fill in the form:

   Field	What to enter	Example
   Client ID	The Client ID of the application
   Client Secret	Its Client secret
   Audience	The address of your Okta, with https://	https://example.okta.com
   Auth Server ID	Leave empty
   IDP	Leave empty
   Session Duration	Leave empty
   Additional Scopes	Leave empty
   Sign In Configuration	Leave empty

   Client ID, Client Secret and Audience are marked (Required). The other fields are optional.

5. Click Install. The screen says The configuration has changed; the server is restarting. Wait a few seconds.

The Okta card is now among the active providers at the top of the list, its switch is on, and it has a Configure button.

🔄 Change or remove Okta

1. On the Okta card, click Configure.

2. To change a value, edit the field. To change the secret, click Replace next to Client Secret. Click Update Configuration.

3. To remove Okta, click Uninstall.
