Connect Jira Cloud

Your Jira address ends in .atlassian.net. Astrolabe reads it with the e-mail and an API token of an Atlassian account. You do this once, as an Astrolabe administrator.

Your address is something else, like https://jira.example.com? See Connect your company's Jira (Data Center).

πŸ”‘ 1. Create an API token in Atlassian

No Jira administrator right is needed: the token reads what its owner can see in Jira.

  1. Log in to id.atlassian.com with the account Astrolabe will read with.
  2. Open Security, then Create and manage API tokens.
  3. Click Create API token, give it a name (Astrolabe), then Create.
  4. Copy the token as is.

πŸ”Œ 2. Add the Jira Cloud integration

  1. In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.

  2. Under PLATFORM, click Company connections.

  3. On the Jira Cloud card, click Configure.

  4. Top right, click Add Token.

  5. Fill in the form:

  6. Click Test connection. The form says Connection works: the source accepted the credentials.

  7. Click Add. Astrolabe restarts on its own, in a few seconds.

The token is in the list, with State set to Connected.
