The company's token and your own account

GitHub, GitLab, Jira and Azure DevOps each have two tokens in Astrolabe. They are not the same, and one never replaces the other.

Which one am I missing?

A dashboard card that says Your <tool> account is not connected. asks for your own account, not the company's token. Click Connect my <tool> account in the card: the window opens there, says where to create the token and with which rights.

🔑 Connect your own account

  1. On My Dashboards, in the card that says Your <tool> account is not connected., click Connect my <tool> account.
  2. The window says where to create the token, with which rights, and links to the token page of your tool. Create the token there.
  3. Fill in Username and Token, then click Test Connection. It says Connection works: the tool accepted your token. If the tool refuses it, the window says why: a wrong token, a missing right or an expired token.
  4. Click Save. The window closes and every card of the tool reads again.

✅ That's it!

Step by step, tool by tool: Jira, GitLab, GitHub.

🧰 See, change or remove your accounts

  1. Top right, click your avatar, then My Account.
  2. Open the My accounts tab.

Each tool has a card: Connected, Not connected, Token refused or Not verified. Configure changes or deletes your token; Connect adds one.

For the administrator

On the page of each of these tools, in Administration › Company connections, Astrolabe says it too: "This company token only serves the entity tabs, the catalog and Compass. It does not serve the personal dashboard cards (my issues, my pull requests): everyone connects their own account there, from the card itself or in My account › My accounts."
