Add the GitLab cards to your dashboard

The GitLab cards of My Dashboards show what your own GitLab account sees. You add a card, then you connect your account from the card itself, once.

Before you start

➕ 1. Add a card

  1. In the left sidebar, click My Dashboards, then the tab of the dashboard you want.

  2. Click Add a card, at the top of the page.

  3. In Add a card, pick the Source gitlab, then a Key:

    KeyWhat it shows
PipelinesThe last pipeline of each branch of your active projects, when it failed or ran lately
Detailed PipelinesThe jobs of your latest pipelines, with status and duration
Merge RequestsMerge requests of every GitLab project of the catalog that your token can read, with status and your role (filter on it for your own)
ReleasesThe last published release of each GitLab project of the catalog your token can read
To-Do ListYour pending GitLab to-dos: reviews requested, assignments, mentions, broken builds
  4. Enter a Card Name, then click Add.

🔑 2. Connect your GitLab account, in the card

The first time, the card says Your GitLab account is not connected.

  1. In the card, click Connect my GitLab account. The Connect my GitLab account window opens. It says where to create the token and with which rights (read_api and read_repository), and links to the token page of your GitLab.

  2. Fill in:

    FieldWhat to enterExample
UsernameYour GitLab username, the one after the @ on your GitLab profile. Astrolabe recognises you by it in GitLab events.jdoe
TokenThe token of your own GitLab account, pasted as isglpat-…
  3. Click Test Connection. The window says Connection works: the tool accepted your token.

  4. Click Save. The window closes and every GitLab card of your dashboard reads again.

✅ That's it!

Change or remove your token

Your GitLab account is listed in My Account › My accounts (your avatar, top right, then My Account, then the My accounts tab). Click Configure on the GitLab card to replace the token, or Delete to remove it.
