Dashboard FAQ
Can I have several dashboards?
Yes, up to 10, one tab each: see Create a dashboard. All of them are yours; nobody else sees them.
Is there a dashboard for my team?
No. Every dashboard is personal.
Why is there no Edit button?
There is none on the dashboard anymore: Add a card is always at the top of the page, and each card has its own more button. To move and resize the cards, click Arrange.
Why do Add a card or Arrange show a padlock?
Your role does not let you change dashboards. Hover the padlock: it says Your role can't add cards to dashboards. Ask an administrator. (Add a card) or Your role can't edit dashboards. Ask an administrator. (Arrange). Ask your administrator to give your
role dashboard.create or dashboard.update. The cards already on the dashboard stay visible.
Can I move a card to another dashboard?
Yes: click Arrange, tick the card, then Move to…: see Arrange your cards.
What happens to the cards when I delete a dashboard?
They are deleted with it, and the notifications of the repositories that are in no other dashboard stop. Move the cards you want to keep first.
Why does a card say "Nothing here yet"?
Because it has nothing to show for you. It says why under the title, for example "No open merge request that you authored, are assigned to or review…": the sentence names what would fill the card. Click Learn more under it to open the page of the card.
Does a card show only my own items?
No. A card shows what your account can see among the components of the catalog. A product owner or a team lead sees every pull request of the repositories of the catalog that their token reads, and keeps their own with the My role filter: see Keep only your rows.
Why is the source astrolabe missing in Add new data?
Because neither Deployments nor Compass is on. Ask your administrator to turn one on in Administration › Plugins: see Turn on a plugin.
A card says "List cut: too many items to read, only the most recent are shown."
The source holds more than the card can read. The sentence appears above the table, and the rows shown are the most recent ones.
How do I read a card's source again?
Click more on the card, then Refresh.
Where are the pages of the cards?
Each tool has its pages under Integration: for example GitLab, Add the GitLab cards to your dashboard.
