Create a dashboard

Your cards do not fit on one screen? Give each subject its own dashboard: one tab per dashboard, side by side at the top of the page.

Before you start

Your role must allow it. Without it, the + button shows a padlock. Hover it: the tooltip says Your role can't create dashboards. Ask an administrator. Ask your administrator to give your role the Orion-dashboard permission dashboard.create (Check what a role gives).

🔧 Create it

1. In the left sidebar, click My Dashboards. The tabs are at the top of the page, under the title.

2. At the right of the last tab, click the + button (New dashboard).

   A new tab appears, called New dashboard, and its name is already in edit mode.

3. Type the name, for example Delivery, then press Enter.

The new dashboard is empty. It says Welcome to your Astrolabe Dashboard! and This dashboard is empty. Add a card, or move cards here from another dashboard with Arrange. Next: Add a card.

🚫 What Astrolabe refuses

A refusal about the name appears under the name, in red, and the name stays in edit mode.

Message	Why
A dashboard name has 1 to 60 characters.	The name is empty or too long.
A dashboard with this name already exists.	Two of your dashboards cannot have the same name.
You can have 10 dashboards at most. Delete one to create another.	You have 10 dashboards. Click +: the message appears at once at the bottom left of the screen and stays there until you close it with its × button, and no tab is added. Delete one.
