Turn on a plugin
A plugin adds a page, a tab on components or a dashboard card to Astrolabe. Turn on only the ones your teams use.
You do it as an administrator.
π Turn on a pluginβ
-
In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.
-
Under PLATFORM, click Plugins.
-
Find the plugin in the list. Each card says what the plugin shows.
-
Click the switch at the top right of its card. The switch turns on and Configure becomes clickable.
A plugin with a page of its own appears at once in the left sidebar. For example, Tech Atlas appears under Documentation.
β That's it!
βοΈ Open the settings of a pluginβ
-
On the card of the plugin, click Configure.
-
The settings of the plugin open. Fill them in, then click Save.
The settings of each plugin are described on its own page.
Once a plugin is on, its settings are also under Administration, in the left menu of the administration.
π A plugin that needs an integrationβ
Some plugins read an outside tool: Argo CD, Azure, Codacy, GitHub, GitLab, Grafana, Jira, SonarQube, Terraform. Their switch stays grey, and their card shows Configure the β¦ integration first.
-
On the card, click Configure the β¦ integration first.
-
The integration of the tool opens in Company connections. Add it: see the page of the tool under Integrations.
-
Fill in the connection and click Add. A window Reloading configuration says Please wait while the instance is reloading.... Wait until it closes.
-
The list of the connection shows the new token. Back in Plugins, the switch of the plugin is on.
You have nothing to turn on: the plugin turns on by itself when you save the integration from the link of its card. An integration added another way leaves the plugin off.
π A plugin that needs a licenseβ
Some plugins need a license: Grafana, Polaris and LaunchDarkly need the Premium license. Without it, their switch stays grey and their card shows Requires the Premium license.
-
On the card, click Requires the Premium license. Licensing opens.
-
Back in Plugins, switch the plugin on.
