GitHub FAQ

Why is there no GitHub tab on my component?

Because the GitHub plugin is off, or the component has no github.com/project-slug annotation. Turn the plugin on in Administration › Plugins, and add the annotation. See Show the GitHub tab.

Do the dashboard cards show my own pull requests?

Yes, among others: the Pull Requests card shows every pull request of the repositories of the catalog that your token reads, and its column My role tells which ones are yours. Filter on it to keep them: see Keep only your pull requests. Your own token must be saved in My Account › My accounts: each user sees what their own GitHub account sees. Without it, the cards say Your GitHub account is not connected.

Can a product owner see all the pull requests of the team?

Yes. Add the Pull Requests card: it lists every pull request of the repositories of the catalog that the token of the product owner can read, whoever opened them. Nothing to filter, nothing to configure. To follow one person or a state, filter the columns Author or status in the card: see Change or remove a card.

Which token rights does Astrolabe need?

A classic token. The administrator's token needs repo, read:org and read:user (read:user to import the organization's members and teams). Yours needs repo and read:org. Astrolabe only reads GitHub.

Why is a repository missing from my cards?

Because no component of the catalog names it with github.com/project-slug, or it belongs to an organization the card does not cover. Write that organization in the organizations field of the card. See Which repositories.

Why does the Workflows card say "Nothing here yet" when my workflows ran?

Because it only keeps a workflow whose latest run happened in the last two hours, or failed in the last day. A workflow that succeeded yesterday is not listed.

Does the card show one line per run?

No. Workflows shows one line per workflow, its latest run. Detailed Workflows shows one line per job of those runs.
