Common problems with GitHub

When you add the integration

What you seeWhat to do
Under the Token field: Token is required. The field is empty; nothing was sent to GitHub. Paste the token.
api.github.com refused the credentials (401). Check the token, and that it has not expired. Fix the field above, or save anyway if the source is only unreachable for now.The token is wrong, revoked or expired. Paste the token alone (it starts with ghp_), or create a new one.
No server answers to the name <host>. Check its spelling against the address you open in your browser. If it is right, Astrolabe cannot see this server: tell your company's Astrolabe administrator. Fix the field above, or save anyway if the source is only unreachable for now.Copy the domain name from the address bar of your GitHub, without https:// nor path. If it is right, the server is not reachable from Astrolabe.
The card says Set by app-config.local.yaml (or another file name), and the page says This connection is set by the config file app-config.local.yaml: a token added here would be ignored. Change it in that file, or ask whoever manages the instance's files. Add Token is greyed out.A configuration file of the instance declares GitHub, and a file always wins over the administration. Change the token in that file, or ask whoever manages the instance's files to remove GitHub from it: the administration then takes over.

On the component page

What you seeWhat to do
No GitHub tabAdd the github.com/project-slug annotation (Show the GitHub tab), and check that GitHub is on in Administration › Plugins.
In the tab or the GitHub releases card: The repository <owner>/<repository> cannot be reached with your GitHub token: check the github.com/project-slug annotation, or the token access. No repository has that name, or the token's account cannot see it. Compare the annotation with the repository's address on GitHub, then check that the token's account has access to it.
