Add the Azure DevOps integration

The integration gives Astrolabe your Azure DevOps host, your organization and the company token. The Azure DevOps source of the dashboard needs it.

You do it once, as an administrator.

Before you start

You need a personal access token: see Create an Azure DevOps token.

🔧 Add the integration

  1. In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.

  2. Under PLATFORM, click Company connections.

  3. On the Azure DevOps card, click Configure. The card says Not configured.

  4. Top right, click Add Token.

  5. Fill in the form. Each ? next to a label explains the field.

    FieldWhat to enterExample
NameA name of your choice. Prefilled with Azure Server.Azure DevOps
Azure Server hostThe domain name only, no path. A leading https:// is removed on save.dev.azure.com
OrganizationThe organization, as in the address https://dev.azure.com/<organization>.acme
    Personal Access TokenThe company token
  6. Click Test connection. Under a wrong host or organization, the form says why (see Common problems). The message for a token Azure DevOps accepts was not checked on a live instance.

  7. Click Add. If the test found a problem, the button Save anyway appears instead: click it only if the source is unreachable for now. A banner says The configuration has changed; the server is restarting.

About a minute later, click Reload if the banner offers it. Your token is in the list, with the source Administration and its state.

Where to see what is wrong

Administration › Problems lists a connection that does not work, with a Fix it button.

✅ That's it!
