Reset the administrator password
If you forgot the administrator password, Astrolabe sends a verification code to the administrator email address.
Before you startβ
Your Astrolabe needs a mail server to send the code. An administrator enters it once, in Administration βΊ General, on the Mail server tab:
| Field | What to enter | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Host | The address of the mail server | smtp.example.com |
| Port | Its port, usually 587 | 587 |
| User | The account that sends the messages | astrolabe |
| Password | The password of that account | |
| From | The address the messages come from | astrolabe@example.com |
Click Save. The screen says Settings saved. The mail server must offer a secure connection (STARTTLS), usually on port 587.
