Add the Compass card to your dashboard

The Compass card lists the scores of the components of the catalog on My Dashboards, so you see what needs work without opening each component.

Before you start​

Compass is turned on in Administration › Plugins. Until then, the source astrolabe is not offered in Add a card. See Turn on a plugin.

What it shows, and to whom​

One line per component of the catalog: Name, Owner, Mine, one column per active compass, and Global Score. Mine says Mine or Others: to keep only your components, filter on it and save the filter with the card, see Keep only your rows.

A card with scores in it was not checked on a live instance.

Compass allows reading scores with one permission for the whole catalog. If your role does not have it, the card says Your role does not allow seeing the Compass scores. Ask an administrator. above the table.

With no score to show, the card says Nothing here yet and why: No component of the catalog has a Compass score to show yet. Click Learn more under the sentence to come back to this page.

➕ Add the card​

  1. In the left sidebar, click My Dashboards, then the tab of the dashboard you want.

  2. Click Add a card, at the top of the page.

  3. In Add a card, choose Source astrolabe and Key Compass. The line under the key reads Compass scores per component.

  4. Type a Card Name, for example Scores, then click Add.

A card too narrow?

Click Arrange, drag the corner at the bottom right of the card to widen it, and click Done.
