Where do I find the Compass page in the sidebar?
There is no entry in the left sidebar. Compass lives on each component (the Compass tab) and in Administration, under INTELLIGENCE. To open the table of scores, click the score link on the card of a compass.
Why does the Compass card on my dashboard say "Nothing here yet"?
Because no component of the catalog has a Compass score yet. The card says it word for word: "No component of the catalog has a Compass score to show yet." Check that a compass is on and grades your components: see Create a compass.
Why does the Compass card say "Your role does not allow seeing the Compass scores"?
Because your role does not have the permission that reads Compass scores, which is one permission for the whole catalog. Ask an administrator: the card says "Your role does not allow seeing the Compass scores. Ask an administrator."
Does the Compass card show only my components?
No: it lists every component of the catalog. The column Mine says Mine or Others: filter on it to keep yours, see Keep only your rows.
Can I create a compass?
Not without administration rights: compasses, assessments and campaigns are created in Administration › Compass, which only administrators see. You read the scores: the Compass tab of a component, the Compass Statistics card on its Overview, and the Compass card of your dashboard.
What does Compass grade?
Components: the Compass tab is on the page of a component.
What is the Global Score?
The average of the scores of the compasses shown in the table.
Which components does a compass grade?
Those that match its Components Filter: the Entity Kind, the Entity Type, and the Owners (optional) you chose in the compass.
Can I edit or delete the Catalog essentials compass?
Yes, like any other compass: click the pencil on its card, then Save or Delete.
A new compass has no score yet.
A new compass is off. Click the switch on its card, then open its score link.
Where do I create compasses, assessments and campaigns?
In Administration › Compass.
Can scores be refreshed on a schedule?
Yes. In Administration › Compass, open the Settings tab and tick Run periodic scans under Compass scans and under Campaign scans, then click Save.
