Turn on end-of-support checks
With the End of Life connection, the Tech stack tab says until when the runtimes and the base images of a component are supported, for example Supported until 30/04/2027. You add it once, as an administrator. There is no token to enter: the service is public.
Before you startβ
The Tech stack plugin is on: see Turn on a plugin.
Astrolabe must reach https://endoflife.date from its server.
π Add the connectionβ
-
In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.
-
Under PLATFORM, click Company connections.
-
On the End of Life card, click Manage.
-
At the top, click Add connection.
-
In the form, leave Name as
End of Lifeand End of Life address ashttps://endoflife.date. -
Click Test connection. The form says Connection works: the source accepted the credentials.
-
Click Add. Astrolabe restarts on its own: wait between 30 seconds and a minute.
The list shows End of Life, with the host endoflife.date, the source Administration and the
state Connected.
π Check it on a componentβ
-
In the top bar, click Catalog, click your component, then click the Tech stack tab.
-
Under Base image, each image now shows Supported until a date. The line End of support not verified. is gone.
A runtime version, and a date already past, were not checked on a live instance.
Change End of Life address only if your company runs its own copy of the service.
π Troubleshootingβ
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| After Test connection: No server answers to the name followed by the host you typed | Check the spelling of End of Life address against the address you open in your browser. If it is right, Astrolabe cannot see that server: tell the administrator of your network. |
| End of support not verified. on the Tech stack tab, with a link Open the End of Life connection | The connection is not added yet. Click the link and follow the steps above. |
β That's it!
