Create the Auth0 application

Auth0 needs to know Astrolabe before it lets people sign in. You create an application in Auth0 and copy three values from it.

You do it once. These steps happen in Auth0. They were not checked on a live instance.

Before you start

You need the address of your Astrolabe, for example astrolabe.example.com.

πŸ”‘ Create the application

  1. In the Auth0 dashboard, open Applications, then Applications.

  2. Click Create Application.

  3. In Name, enter Astrolabe. For the type, choose Regular Web Applications. Click Create.

  4. Open the Settings tab.

  5. In Allowed Callback URLs, enter:

    https://astrolabe.example.com/api/auth/auth0/handler/frame

Replace astrolabe.example.com with the address of your Astrolabe.

  6. Click Save Changes.

  7. Copy the Domain, the Client ID and the Client Secret.

βœ… That's it!

Next: Add Auth0 sign-in.
