Give administrator rights to someone

Being an administrator means being a member of the group Astrolabe administrators. You do it as an administrator.

➕ Add a person

  1. In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.

  2. Under SECURITY, click Groups.

  3. On the row astrolabe-administrators, click the pencil (Edit group astrolabe-administrators). The window Edit group opens. It says Members of this group are administrators of Astrolabe: they get the administrator role.

  4. Click the field Members, type the name of the person, for example Marie Dupont, and click the line Marie Dupont (user:default/marie.dupont).

  5. Click Save. The page says Group updated.

The person reloads the page: Administration appears in the left sidebar.

➖ Take a person out

  1. On the row astrolabe-administrators, click the pencil.

  2. In Members, click the cross on the chip of the person.

  3. Click Save. The page says Group updated.

The person loses Administration when they reload the page.

🛟 The account administrator

The account administrator holds the administrator role on its own, whatever the group contains.

✅ That's it!
