Find and fix a problem

The Problems page lists what does not work on your Astrolabe right now: a connection that is refused, a catalog collection that failed, a component whose owner is not in the catalog. Each line says where to fix it.

πŸ” Open the page

  1. In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click Administration.

  2. Under STATUS, click Problems.

When all is well, the page says Nothing is broken: every integration connects and every collection runs.

When something is wrong, a number appears next to Administration in the left sidebar and next to Problems in the menu of Administration: for one problem, 1 problem.

πŸ”§ Fix a problem

Each problem is a block:

  • the kind of problem, for example Company connection or Catalog collection,
  • the name of the source, for example Jenkins or gitlab,
  • what is wrong, in a sentence.
  1. Read the sentence. Example: No server answers to the name jenkins.acme.example. Check its spelling against the address you open in your browser.

  2. Click Fix it. Astrolabe opens the screen where you correct it (here, the Jenkins connection).

  3. Correct it, for example the address of the server.

  4. Come back to Problems and click Check again.

The page is checked again by itself every few minutes. When the problem is solved, the block goes away.

βœ… That's it!

Next: Fix a component whose owner is not found.
