Search Astrolabe
One search field for the whole catalog. Type a word and open what you find.
Search
- In the left sidebar, click Search.
- Click in the search field at the top of the page (it reads Search in followed by the name of
your company) and type a word, for example
payment.
The list updates as you type. Each result shows its name, its description and chips: its kind (Component, API, System, Group, User, Template, Resource, Domain) and its type or lifecycle.
- Click a result to open its page.
At the bottom of the list, Previous and Next move between pages of results.
The name and the description. gestion finds a component whose description says "Service de
gestion des commandes", even if its name does not hold the word.
Documentation and Confluence pages are found too
The search also reads the documentation of your components, and the pages of Confluence once it is connected. The documentation of a component is found even if nobody has opened it yet: Astrolabe builds it in the background, so you do not have to open a documentation page first for its words to be searched.
Type a word of the documentation: the result is the page of the documentation that holds it. A Confluence page shows its space (for example Space ENG) and opens on your Confluence, in a new window.
Searching the words of a component's documentation was not tried on an instance with a real documentation; the Confluence pages were.
Keep one kind of result
- At the top right, click Filters.
- Under Kind, click All and pick Component, Template, User or Group.
- Under Lifecycle, tick production or experimental to keep only the things in that phase.
- Click Close.
Untick the box, or pick All again, to remove a filter.
✅ That's it!
