Manage access to the demo

On the ForgeIT administration instance, the Backoffice keeps the list of the people who may enter the public demo. You approve a request, revoke an address, add a prospect by hand, and see what a visitor did. Visitors follow Ask for access to the demo.

🔧 Open the list​

  1. Sign in to the administration instance with an administrator account.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Backoffice.

  3. In the menu of the Backoffice, under SALES, click Demo access.

The page Demo access lists every address, the newest first, with the columns Person, Email, Company, State, Asked on, Decided by and Actions. State is Requested, Approved or Revoked.

✅ Approve a request​

  1. On the line whose State is Requested, click Approve (the button is named after the address).

The snack says Access approved for the address, State becomes Approved, Decided by shows your username, and the person receives the e-mail Your access to the Astrolabe demo is open with the button Enter the demo.

⛔ Revoke an access​

  1. On the line of the address, click Revoke.

  2. In Revoke this access?, click Revoke access.

The snack says Access revoked for the address and State becomes Revoked. The person can no longer enter the demo, and a session already open ends when its token expires.

To give the access back, click Approve on the same line.

➕ Add an address by hand​

For a prospect who did not ask by themselves.

  1. At the top of the page, click Add an address.

  2. Fill in Email, First name and Last name. Company (optional) can stay empty.

  3. Click Add and notify.

The snack says Access granted to the address, a line Approved appears, and the person receives the same e-mail as for an approval.

🔍 See what a visitor did​

  1. On the line of the address, click Activity.

The window Activity of the address shows the first and the last visit, the pages most seen, the actions most used, and the list of events with When, What, Detail and Page.

  1. Click Close to leave. Erase this activity deletes the record of this visitor.

❓ Frequently asked questions​

Does an approval need the person to do anything?​

No. The e-mail carries a button that signs the person in, once, for 7 days. After that the person types the address on the demo and receives a code.

Is the same address listed twice if it asks twice?​

No. One address gives one line.
